Born from a unique manufacturing partnership with Discraft, the Vessel brings a piece of rare disc golf history straight to your bag. The mold is a direct revival of the Discraft Ringer-top Zone GT prototype that originally debuted during the Battle Pack testing rounds. Thought Space acquired the tooling to give this design a permanent release, pairing a shallow profile with a distinct thumbtrack (GT) groove along the top rim. Reviewers note that it sits lower in the hand than a traditional stock Zone, while delivering an even sharper, more aggressive biting fade at the end of its flight. Check out other plastic variants in the complete Thought Space Athletics Vessel Collection, or see the rest of the brand's lineup in our main Thought Space Athletics Collection. We weigh and take individual photos of every single disc, so the exact color and stamp layout you select below is the exact one we pack up for you.

<>

Flight Numbers

The flight numbers on the Vessel point directly to heavy-duty approach utility. At a 4 speed, it cuts through the air with slightly more velocity than standard approach putters, while the 3 glide keeps it highly controllable so you don't overshoot the green. The 0 turn means it completely resists flipping over even under extreme power or when thrown into a headwind, finishing its flight with a hard, dependable 3 low-speed fade that dumps predictably toward the pin.

Speed

Glide

Turn

Fade

4

3

0

3

The Glo Vex Vessel delivers:

High-Intensity Night Visibility: A premium glow blend that charges up fast under a UV flashlight, making it easy to track through the night sky and find in the rough.

Molded Rim Thumbtrack: A subtle groove running along the outer top flight plate that gives your thumb a consistent, secure nesting point for both backhand and forehand grips.

Shallow Profile Comfort: A lower rim depth that ensures an ultra-clean, snag-free release out of the fingers.

It excels at:

Organized night tournaments or late-evening casual rounds where standard discs get lost in the dark.

Forehand scrambles and touchy sidearm chips that need to snap out quickly and hook hard around trees.

Hyzer approach shots where you need a predictable, heavy dumping finish to park the green.

<>

Glo Vex Premium Translucent Plastic Performance

Glo Vex is Thought Space Athletics' premium translucent glow plastic engineered for maximum durability and a bright nighttime glow. The glow additives used in this mix typically cause the plastic to cool down just a fraction firmer and stiffer than standard day-glow runs. In the hand, it provides a solid, rigid flight plate that refuses to flex when you dig your thumb into the groove, giving power throwers a highly consistent launch angle. It handles tree clips and cage strikes beautifully, holding onto its factory overstability for multiple seasons.

<>

How the Vessel Compares Across Blends & Molds

Vs a Standard Discraft Zone: The Vessel shares the same overstable identity but incorporates the specialized Ringer-GT thumb groove. It also sits slightly shallower in the hand and features a harder, more aggressive bite at the end of its flight path.

Vs the Vex Vessel: The standard Vex line run features a daytime translucent finish. This Glo version swaps that out for night visibility and tends to fly just a hair more stable out of the box due to the glow agent density.

Vs the Parallel Vessel: The Parallel run uses a premium opaque blend that is slightly gummier and offers a softer hand feel, whereas this Glo Vex run is significantly stiffer and more rigid.

<>

Frequently Asked Questions About the Glo Vex Vessel

Does the glow plastic make the Vessel fly differently?

Yes, slightly. Most disc golfers notice that premium translucent glow runs cool down a bit denser than standard solid or daytime translucent runs. While it still holds a true 0 turn, the Glo Vex version fights off high-speed flutter and heavy headbreezes just a fraction better, making it the beefiest run in the Vessel family.

How long does the glow effect hold a charge?

A quick 10-to-15 second blast from a standard UV pocket flashlight will keep the disc illuminated bright enough to track cleanly through the air and locate easily on the ground for the duration of a standard par-3 hole.

Is the thumbtrack comfortable for forehand players?

Yes. The combination of the flat top groove and the ultra-shallow rim depth removes the boxy feel that some players dislike about traditional approach discs, sitting comfortably against the fingers for a perfectly clean sidearm snap.

Looking for a daytime variation?
